"Reasonable Doubts"
~ By Jamill D. Lemon

Who can you turn to in a world so cold,
holding on to a precious life and love,
I've lost myself and yet held on to my soul.

Turn into yourself like a ship at sea
into the waves, trusting no one like
starring into the sunset of heaven while
being burned by the beautiful suns UV rays.

Oh what days will i miss,
what dreams would have come true,
but days are far gone to look for
something old, something new,
something borrowed, something blue.

Deep in the middle of night & morning
i turn to myself because i couldn't find you.
So Cry me a river my love, sing your song
Cheers to time wasted when the heart’s gone.

Who can I turn to in a word so cold,
holding on to a precious life and love;
I've lost myself and yet held on to my soul.

Somethings are meant to be;
i guess that's just not meant for you -
& me, you rather dream of lost destiny,

Omitting the awry present; sleeping next to me.

How do you save a life
when the wrath is all they seek,
for what fate is fortuitous of destiny
when eternity is laying at Van Winkles tree.

Deep in the middle of night & morning
i turn to myself because i couldn't find you.
So Cry me a river, sing your song, oh what
time I've waste when my heart is far gone.

Yet questions arise in the mid night of dark
Who can I turn to in a word so very cold,
while holding on to my precious life and love.

I've lost myself and yet held on to my torn soul.
